Nectarfari is a soulful blend of roots reggae, soulful grooves and mantra. Nectarfari’s lead vocalist, singer, songwriter, Shoshana B. serves up the sweet nectar backed by some down to earth drum and bass and a variety of other musicians. Singing Devotional kirtan music as well as being a singer in the 4-Word reggae band for the last 8 years lends to Nectarfari’s unique sound. Like the hummingbird who gathers nectar from many blossoms, Nectarfari serves up the sweet Nectar featuring an array of different musical styles and talented vocalists. Ras Gabriel is one of these powerful vocalists and he most certainly brings the Fari to the Nectar!! Singing alongside Ras Gabriel, Shoshana has shared the stage with some of the reggae greats and opening for acts including Israel Vibrations, Joseph Hill of Culture, Burning Spear, The Wailers, Midnite, Desiree, The Abbyssinians and more. Nectarfari’s music is inspired by this wellspring of roots and culture as well as over 24 years of living on the Hawaiian islands. Nectarfari brings danceable grooves, conscious lyrics, a spirit of devotion, a message of oneness and sweet sweet Nectar!
Matthew Human and The Human Revolution (7:00pm)
Matthew Human has been rocking crowds from Maui to San Francisco, New York to Nashville, Kansas to Costa Rica and all places in between with his own brand of hippie country rock for fifteen years and counting. Best known for his award-winning pro-cannabis video Tree of Life, which has received over 500k views and became an anthem in the hemp movement, Matthew formed the country-rock dance band The Human Revolution in 2003. The Human Revolution, featuring a rotating cast of master musicians, would become one of the best-loved bands on the West Coast Festival Circuit. From 2004 until 2011 the band toured tirelessly producing five US cross country tours, and a host of regional tours performing at festivals in the Southwest, West Coast, Hawai’i and Costa Rica. In 2009 the Matthew and The Human Revolution opened for Willie Nelson’s 2009 Labor Day concert in Northern CA.
Currently finishing production on his eighth studio album “Reality,” a solo pop-country project in Nashville, Tenn., Matthew Human is breaking musical barriers and bringing a fresh new energy into the country world based in his hippie roots and inspired by his adventures in Costa Rica and years of performing in the transformational festival circuit.
Alcyon Massive (9:30pm)
Alcyon Massive is an emerging evolutionary musical artist who is taking his family, friends, fans and the world at large on the epic journey of his own ecstatic awakening through his signature sound of backwoods hip-hop meets roots reggae. Alycon’s visions of our collective future harken back to the Heaven at hand foretold by elders of earlier times. His music has struck a chord in the soul of Southern Oregonians from evolutionaries to evangelicals to hippies to hillbillies to rastas to rainbows and beyond, and the positive vibrations he inspires are creating waves of peace rippling through reality. He has shared the stage with many bright and beautiful artists such as Michael Franti & Spearhead, Matisyahu, Anthony B, Sly & Robbie and many more.
Casbah Pavilion Stage
Al Torre (4:00pm)
Al Torre, of the original Freedom Tribe, will be warming up the Casbah Stage with his fiery brand of guitar work and unique ability to cross seamlessly over many styles and genres of music.
Windsong & Kat Del Rio (6:00 pm)
Windsong and Kat del Rio are recording artist, singer-songwriters that perform throughout the Pacific Northwest, California, and Hawaii at festivals, fairs, and special events. They enchant their audiences with their powerful vocals and heart engaging lyrics, activating a positive spirit, with their consciousness raising original songs ranging from soulful Folk to empowering Rock and Reggae rhythms. As the “SpiritEarth Band,” Windsong and Kat are joined by their exceptionally talented Bass player, Richard Cole, who performs with many bands in the region! Also joining them is Mark Lee on violin, an Australian cosmic violinist who has his head in the heavens and his heart for humanity! Together, Windsong and Kat produced the CD Wake Up the Vision with their diverse soulful original music, which includes back up performances by many popular musicians.
Ojolo (formerly To Life!) (8:15pm)
The music of Ojolo (formerly “To Life!”) has been described as ‘Music from our cellular memory.’ Although rooted in the present with modern sounds and grooves, the music in infused with, and inspired by, sounds both ancient and modern. Tribal, folk, and nomadic sounds of Africa, the Middle East, Native America, and Aboriginal Cultures permeate the music, at once original, and at the same time familiar. The body and spirit are invited to ‘be danced’ by that which is greater than us, and is at the same time who we really are.
Casbah Late Night Music
The Ancient Wild 11:15 pm)
The Ancient Wild is the collaboration between songwriters & instrumentalists Kate Wild and Christophe Sunhorse. Although the group itself is in its first few years of growth, they’ve been received with great enthusiasm wherever they go, as they aren’t exactly what you’d think of when you think, “duet.” Musicality is at times ethereal and elegant, at other times punchy and intense; lyricism draws inspiration from the transformative forces within human life and of the earth. Foot-operated percussion, their haunting, harmonizing voices, the Celtic harp, and acoustic guitar all come together to make a unique and broad-ranged sound. Peace Village is part of their summer tour, which will take them through Oregon, Washington, California, the Southwest, and Colorado.
Nigel Webb (12:45 am)
For Peace Village Festival this year, Nigel will be performing a bluegrass version of Tales from Topographic Oceans by the Brit progressive rockers Yes. Nigel is a traveling singer songwriter who has been writing and performing his own songs, and those of others, for over thirty years. He has absorbed many musical influences including British and American folk, calypso, reggae,African and jam-band rock. Nigel has performed many times for environmental benefits and other social causes, often with his band “This Way Up”. He has also performed as a solo, or in duo collaborations in Australia, New Zealand, Britain and Costa Rica. His late night performance at Peace Villages Casbah stage will feature the lead guitar of Matthias Pailas, and bass guitar of Richard Cole.

Dragonfly (11:15 PM)
As a pioneering DJ in the West Coast ecstatic music, dance and festival scene his sets are alchemized by the sonic edge of a one-of-a-kind mix that traverses transglobal ghetto-whomp, entheo-mystic ritualized bass and psychedelic dreamtempo. Under his wings dancefloors surrender to his fearless twist of tempo conjoined with bass culture’s sound design – all of which is intended to inspire that place in time where music allows for the disappearing in to the “hyper-nowness-of-being”.
Govinda 12:30 am
Govinda is the alter-ego of Austin based producer/composer Shane Madden. He began studying violin and composition at the age of eight and went on to study classical violin at the University of Texas where he fell in love with electronic music production. It was in Madden’s pursuit of his gypsy roots that he opened his ears to music from around the world. From experiences learning violin with mysterious masters on his journeys across the globe and his passion for modern design and technology, the current sound of Govinda was born.
Govinda has been featured on over 25 compilations such as Buddha Bar II, Asian Travels II, and Nirvana Lounge selling a combined 400,000 copies, and has played at numerous festivals throughout North America including Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Lights All Night, Euphoria, Sea of Dreams, Camp Bisco, SXSW and many more. The Govinda live show immerses the audience with a textured atmosphere of exotic, dubby vibrations interwoven with cosmic visual projections, world class dancers and mesmerizing vocals- all to the magic of his live electronics and violin.
